A Day At A Time In Rhyme In Time 3

April 3rd

CALM

calm

stasis

and nothing

you have done today

deserves

the trip to bed

pull covers over head

and be grateful

that you never bought

the little app

of calm

because it’s raining now

for real

and it will rain some more

now we’ve closed the door

on cars and bars

and planes

and everything

that made the world

spin faster

close to disaster

we are in a state

of

what the fuck

no one’s got an answer

and nothing

is the same

but

on a night like this

wifi down

knitting done

crosswords solved

and wine too cheap to stomach

I count my blessings

and

each breath

and

listen to the sound

of nature

taking charge.
